Day 1: Immediately prior to demolition.

Day 2: Cabinets appliances removed. Pantry and kitchen/dining room wall removed. Pine flooring removed.

Day 3: Electrician worked all day re-wiring kitchen and living room and installing recessed lighting. (No pictures)

Day 4: Temporary walls built to prepare for removal of wall between kitchen/dining room and living room.

Day 5: Kitchen/dining room/living room wall removed and header beam installed. Half wall framed in. All paneling removed.

Day 6: Water line for refrigerator moved. Most of the drywall done. Recessed lighting installed, but lit with temporary bulbs.

Day 7: Only worked half day, installing more drywall. (No pictures)

Day 8: Continued drywall work, installing corner beads and mudding seams. (No pictures)

Day 9: Finished drywall and most mudding. Started work on floor transition between dining room/kitchen and living room.

Day 10: Worked almost entirely on flooring transition. HVAC: moved gas line (cooktop) to island; moved air supply and return vents.

Day 11: Cabinets and kitchen flooring delivered. Finished last of the mudding. Continued work on flooring. Installed plywood layout for cabinets.

Day 12: Finished flooring in living room. (No pictures)

Day 13: Finished flooring throughout.

Day 14: Shiplap installed on one of the fireplace walls.

Day 15: Finished shiplap on other fireplace wall (website background is a picture of the actual wall). Sanded drywall and put on second coat of mud.

Day 16: Day was spent sanding walls and tidying the staging area (garage). (No pictures)

Day 17: More sanding and mudding. First coat of paint on ceiling. (No pictures)

Day 18: Finished drywall sanding, added second coat of paint on ceiling, put first coat of paint on walls. Unpacked and roughly laid out cabinets.

Day 18: Installed all cabinets (except for one backordered unit).

Day 19: Began preparation for crown molding around cabinets. Installed cabinet end pieces, toe kicks, etc. (No pictures)

Day 20: Temporarily placed sink and cooktop so granite templates could be made. Finished baseboard trim around island. Started installing new baseboard in living and dining rooms.

Day 21: Finished baseboard in living room. Installed granite countertops. Installed cap on half-wall ready for staining.

Day 22: Installed backsplash. Installed toe molding around cabinets.

Day 23: Installed cabinet hardware and slide-out drawers in pantry. HVAC people installed downdraft ductwork and updated living room return from 10" to 12". Put coat of paint on ceiling; stained baseboards and half-wall cap.

Day 24: Installed crown molding in living room and most of kitchen and dining room. Finished plumbing for sink and installed dishwasher. Put first coat of paint on walls in living room.

Day 25: Finished crown molding in kitchen and dining room and caulked it. Added cove molding to corners on shiplap wall and prepped for staining. Cleaned up inside and cleared out garage.

Day 26: Got dishwasher and oven installed. Finished most of the electrical (wiring and lighting) and installed new ceiling fan. Finished first coat of paint on walls. Stained cove molding in corners on shiplap wall. Put coat of polyurethane on stained woodwork.

Day 27: Finished electrical, including undercounter LEDs and pendants over island. Finished painting walls.

Day 27: Finished touching up paint, etc, cleaning, moving furniture back into place, and final walkthrough.
